This is an absolute guilt free recipe I invented that children and adults can enjoy equally well. I have used natural sweeteners so it can be given to kids younger than one year as well, considering you have already introduced the remaining ingredients before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Half cup powdered oats<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 table spoons whole wheat flour or multigrain flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 prunes and 3 dried figs pre soaked and pur\u00e9ed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A pinch of Cardamom and cinnamon each<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 tablespoon ghee<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dry fruits, powdered ( almonds, cashew-nuts, walnuts and pistachios)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1\/2 cup milk<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Method:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a deep pan add ghee and oats and whole wheat flour and roast together. Keep stirring till it starts to turn brown. Add the dry fruit powder and mix well. Sprinkle the Cardamom and cinnamon and mix it. By now, the whole flour should have turned brown. Add the puree and mix really well to avoid lumps. Add the milk at last. Stir well. Add some more ghee in the end to make it a smooth Halwa like consistency and serve hot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: I use steel cut oats for all my recipes and I highly recommend that since it has maximum fibre and is the least processed compared to instant oats.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
